Angelika Villarroel

I'm a sophomore interior design student at Ball State University with a passion for creating spaces that serve the people who use them. I approach each project with curiosity, attention to detail, and a commitment to thoughtful problem-solving.

Why Interior Design

I have always been drawn to the way a well-designed space can shape how people feel, move, and connect. Interior design allows me to combine creative thinking with practical solutions — turning an empty room into an environment that supports the way people live and work.

What I Want to Do

I'm interested in both commercial and residential interiors, with a particular curiosity about the effects of interiors on human health, sustainability, and biophilic design. I'd love to explore hospitality or workplace design as I continue to grow.

Personal Interests

Outside of the studio, I enjoy sketching, exploring architecture in new cities, and learning about material innovation in design. I'm also an active mentor to freshman interior design students at Ball State.
